Biography

Raphael Uzor began his professional life as an engineer — methodical, systems-minded, trained to look at how things work and ask why they fail. What he did not anticipate was that the most consequential system he would ever have to figure out was a personal one: money.

Almost two decades, he moved across industries and roles — from engineering to marketing, from employee to executive, from spectator to entrepreneur. Along the way, he built a health products e-commerce business from the ground up during a global pandemic, raised two children, and lived through the specific financial anxiety that quietly follows people who earn decent salaries but somehow never seem to get ahead.

"Most financial advice tell you what to do. This is about why most people never do it — and what changes when you finally understand the difference."

Those experiences are what led him to write. Not from a position of arrived expertise, but from hard-won understanding — the kind that comes from making real mistakes with real money, studying what actually works, and realising that most financial content is either too abstract or too timid to say anything genuinely useful.

Liabilities to Assets is his first book: the guide he wished he had at the beginning. It draws on real stories and verified data from across the world, and on principles that have governed the accumulation of wealth for centuries. His second book, Eat or be Eaten, is a reckoning with the internal battles that determine the shape of a life long before money ever becomes the real issue. A third project, Intellectual Outsourcing, is forthcoming — a case for reclaiming your thinking in an age of borrowed opinions.

He writes for people who are done drifting and ready to decide.
